During these unprecedented and difficult times we are all experiencing due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the ministry of the church continues, although in different ways to what we are used to.
Whilst we are currently unable to celebrate Holy Mass in the presence of a congregation due to the restrictions on public gatherings, and are therefore are unable to receive donations through the offertory collections taken at our Sunday Masses, there are now several ways in which members of the congregation, and any other interested parties, can continue to donate to the causes of Our Church.
In line with government guidelines, for those parishioners who have offertory envelopes, these can continue to be posted through the letter boxes at our presbyteries whilst passing on your essential travel, or on your daily exercise. However, please do not make the journey just for the purposes of making these donations.
In order to make regular donations to our church, standing orders can be set up. Details of which can be obtained from Fr Nicholas.
For those who are unable to make regular contributions at this time, it is now possible to make a one off £5 donation by texting CHURCH HEC to 70500.
For those wanting to make larger donations, but do not want to commit to a regular standing order, either submit multiple texts as above (donating £5 on each occasion) or use the online donation facility at this link or by following the “Donate Today” button at the top of the page.
Gift aid can be applied to your donations using any of the above methods. This option applies to UK tax payers, and allows us to claim tax back on your donation. This means that for every £10 you donate, the church receives £12.
Whichever way you choose to donate, thank you for your contribution and kindness.
